I think I'll write my essy on Portia. I found her to be an interesting character. Although her part in the play was not so large, the scenes that she was in revealed her deep, caring character. Her loyalty towards Brutus was shown greatly by her strong words.
i think that i'll write an essay either on one of the two women in the story because they are soo hidden in the story, and dont seem to be important characters, so i wnat to bring out their importance in my essay. or maybe ill do brutus..
I would suggest another character. Calfunia was a minor character, she barely has a part in the play. Do an alternate character. According to archives I have recently read the character Calfurnia's only purpose throughout the play was to attempt to prevent Caesar from going to the Senater because of her prophetic nightmare the foreshadows the assassination. But I strongly infer that back then women seem to have no say in the household. (I'm sorry to say that) This must have been one of the reasons Julius Caesar must have tossed her opinion off to the side. Julius Caesar believed he was all- powerful, thus I believe he felt he should not "step low" and take the advice of a woman. (I'm not saying the advice of woman are wrong, but instead that Julius Caesar though this way). Best of luck!!! -YourAnonymousBuddy
