Essay Question:
How does literature reflect and preserve the values and beliefs of a society?For your in-class essay next week you will need to address the following question and give examples from two of the texts we have read this semester (The Odyssey, Julius Caesar or Nectar in a Sieve).
For practice, I am asking you to write one page addressing this question for homework. For this assignment you need only write about Nectar in a Sieve.

The literature may perserve the background of the society that it is writing about. The way the literature uses terms, languages, and point of views may potray how the values and beliefs of societies were.
