The setting of this story takes place in a deserted Yukon trail. It takes place during winter when the temperature is many degrees below zero.I think that this setting portrays the world. It shows that this is a cold and crueld world and that we should lean to benefit from eachother. This is the reason why the man died. I was because he thought he could survive on his own. I dont think it was because of the cold why he died. The boys in the camp didnt die and it was also cold there.
The setting takes place on Yukon Trail during winter. The temperature is quite a few degrees below zero and there is snow and ice everywhere. I think that this setting portrays the world. It is showing how this world is cruel and cold. I believe the author is trying to say that we should try and learn to benefit from one another in order to survive in these harsh conditions. The man built the fire but it was put out by the snow. The author, i think, is trying to illustrate that it was not the cold that killed the man. It was beacuse the man thought he could survive on his own without help. The husky survived because it was suited for the environment and the boys at camp were alive because they worked together and benefited from eachother.
